Grounded in the body\, mindfulness meditation has proven to be a powerful tool for enhancing health and well-being\, as well as reducing stress and cultivating insight and clarity. Some people even find better ways to manage pain. All different kinds of people have been shown to benefit from mindfulness meditation\, and many have found paths to greater happiness. \nINSTRUCTOR\nAnge Stephens\, MA\, LMFT\, is an integral psychotherapist and coach. She is a longtime meditation practitioner\, and teaches meditation locally and nationally. She is co-director of the Metta Institute’s End-Of-Life-Care Practitioner Program and faculty for the Metta Institute and Spirit Rock program\, Heavenly Messengers. Formerly Clinical Director and co-founder of the San Francisco Cancer Support Community\, Ange now works with Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation’s Cancer Support Services in Santa Rosa as a support group facilitator\, class instructor\, and as a consultant to the oncology staff and the WINGS peer support program. Ange is also a long term cancer survivor.  \nALL ARE WELCOME \nThis class is for cancer patients\, survivors\, family and friends. You do not need to be a part of Sutter to attend.
