SUMMARY:Emotional Eating Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Emotional Eating Support Group led by Sabine Haake\, MBA\, RD \nThis 8-week program integrates therapeutic meal experiences with cognitive behavioral exercises to help participants manage eating in stressful or emotional situations. \nParticipants bring their own dinner and practice discerning between emotional and physical hunger in a supportive and non-judgmental setting. \nParticipants will explore internal and external stressors that contribute to disordered eating behavior. With guidance from a behavioral specialist\, they will embark on developing a nurturing and compassionate relationship with their body. \nThe Emotional Eating Support Group meets on Zoom on Thursdays beginning February 20th to April 10th\, 5:30 – 7:00 pm. \nFREE for HMO Brown & Toland members. Blue Shield also accepted; copay may apply. Out-of-pocket fee is $60/class. Financial aid for reduced fee may be available upon request. \nRegister here by Friday\, February 14th \n*Enrollment in full series is required.*
