What to Expect
This interactive seminar is facilitated by Jason Mousel, a registered dietitian who provides counseling and education on finding wellness through whole foods and intentional eating. Participants will learn basic mindfulness techniques like breath awareness, body awareness, and relaxation along with mindful eating skills like tuning into taste, pausing prior to eating, and hunger and fullness awareness.
What is Mindful Eating? Eating with intention and attention.
A non-judgmental approach to transforming your diet and relationship to food. This program replaces the restriction and deprivation of typical diet plans with an abundant, nourishing, and enjoyable approach to eating. You will learn tools to support a diet that is individualized, flexible, and sustainable. Mindfulness greatly decreases the struggle with food by fostering a sense of investigation, discovery, and experimentation.
You will learn
• How to be in charge of your eating instead of feeling out of control
• How to use hunger and fullness to guide your eating
• How to enjoy food without overeating or guilt
• How to slow down and savor your food
