Our licensed team of clinical social workers provide one-on-one support for emotional and practical concerns, such as depression, stress management, anxiety, life transitions, adjustments to chronic illness and grief. In addition, guidance is available for those seeking information and resources for a variety of needs, such as referrals and support finding food, housing, and healthcare navigation.
Our services are available for individuals, groups and families looking for emotional or practical guidance and support.

An Individualized Needs Assessment:
This assessment will help to clarify and prioritize your most urgent concerns in order to develop goals and identify possible solutions.
Short-term Emotional Support:
When faced stress, anxiety, depression or a change in life circumstances, our social workers can assist you by designing a short-term, focused process that is designed to help. Social workers help align resources and make recommendations that can lead to reaching your personalized objectives.
Resource & Referral:
Our social workers can help you connect with other helpful resources and agencies in the community as appropriate. This can include connecting with insurance, housing, reduced billing options for utilities, transportation, as well as a wide range of specific community supports.
Psychotherapy:
The psychotherapy process uses a comprehensive, multi-theoretical approach to support you and your wellbeing. The duration of the support can range and is based on individual needs.
Follow-Up Support:
A follow-up appointment with one of our social workers is available depending on your need or interest.
Cancer Buddy Program
Cancer Buddy Program: The Cancer Buddy Program connects patients within the first year of a cancer diagnosis with trained volunteer cancer survivors. The Buddy Program is a forum for individuals to speak openly with someone who understands cancer from the inside. To request a Buddy or to volunteer, call (415) 923-3155.
Payment Options
The fee structure for appointments includes two options:
1. A sliding scale based on annual household income.

2. CHRC takes Medicare advantage and as well as other insurances. Co-pays or other deductibles may apply.
